Welcome to Romance at a Glance, a podcast that uses romance novels to dive into candid conversations about life, relationship dynamics, and sexual desires.
As hosts Bridget and Shani review books and interview some of romance’s biggest authors, they explore the breadth of the genre, openly embracing the sex, diverse couplings, and taboo in order to create a safe space for listeners to be exposed to different lifestyles, fantasies, and to pique their naughty curiosity.
Expect 100% honest reviews, spontaneous singing, life lessons, indecent anecdotes, and bawdy humor.
It all started when…
Shani was over at Bridget’s house working on other creative endeavors and having lunch, and they got to talking about books. Shani super casually threw out that the book she was reading was a romance novel. A three hour conversation about their favorite authors, books, and genres of romance followed after Bridget revealed with no shame or hesitation that she was an avid romance novel reader.
A few hours later, Shani called Bridget with a big speech prepared.
She began, “Hey, so I was thinking, we should do a romance novel podcast together.”
Upon her inhale to launch into the aforementioned, practiced speech, Bridget replied, “That sounds awesome! Let’s do it.”
Shani was momentarily stunned.
She thought she would have to convince Bridget why it was a good idea for them to do a podcast together about romance novels. But clearly Bridget did not need her speech.
Shani concluded the call with, “Ok, awesome. So we can talk tomorrow about the details.”
And then called back 30 minutes later after the shock wore off to get down to planning.
Join them as they discuss new romance novels every week from every genre they can get their hands on. This is not a PG romance podcast, must be over 18 to listen.
They let the conversation roll in and out of their review as they talk about their real (and imagined) sex lives, relationships, romance, and life in general.
