Cover Art: Man torso with no shirt and a clearly fake tattoo on his arm. Kind of a purple/bluish cast. This cover didn’t really do anything for me. It didn’t turn me off the book, nor did it turn me on.
Synopsis: Lore is a half-breed sex demon (incubus) who entered into a contract for 100 kills to save his sister’s life. Now to earn their freedom, he must complete one last kill on the man he previously brought back to life, and a friend and brother to his newfound brothers. He’s willing to do anything to save his sister from a life of slavery.
Idess is an un-ascended angel with a wild desire, sworn to protect the human Lore is targeting. She quickly finds that keeping Lore from his kill isn’t that simple when she now must protect him as well. And help him ease his sexual urges while he’s all chained up.
Torn between duty and desire, Lore and Idess must join forces as they battle their attraction for each other. Because an enemy from the past is rising again-one hellbent on vengeance and unthinkable destruction.
Favorite parts of the book
Stakes are high. She fails, she never becomes an angel. He fails his life is forfeit and his sister slave forever
Idess gets shot by the person she’s supposed to guard bc they don’t think Ione would betray them
She gets all hot and bothered but has taken a vow of celibacy to become an angel
WHAT IS CELIBACY - what is sex --- let’s push that line!
She can touch his magical arm
She feeds of his blood and then falls asleep on him
Mutual masturbation after the first time she jerks him to keep the demon at bay
“Now. Make yourself come.” Her voice lowered dangerously. Seductively. “On me.” Surprise shot through him and the climax came on its heels, her words sparking a chain reaction that went nuclear.

He says he wants her to stay and not go into the light. She wants to stay but has to go
Bond broken - he has to be drugged
He goes back to the demon lair to try to free his sister - she goes bc she knows he is in danger, together they defeat the demon - sister becomes the leader of the assassins.
