Quick Guide Review of the Book and Notes

Book Title: Bonded To The Alien Centurion

Author: Mina Carter

Part of a Series: Yes - book 7 of the Warriors of Lathar

Genre: Alien Romance, Sci-fi Romance

Cover Art:  OOO THEM SOME BIG MUSCLES!

Synopsis: Dani Black is a badass military commander. She goes alone onto the enemy ship to save a senator from Earth who is being kept as a “guest” of the emperor. The emperor assigns Sardaan, the ship’s communications excerpt, to try to seduce her and win her over to the Lathar side of negotiations with the human race. She gets tricked into a duel and with more challengers coming, she is forced to accept Sardaan’s claim, as her mate. She finds, she doesn’t mind the burning chemistry, loyalty, or sexytimes with this cousin race of humanity.

Favorite Line in the Book

Shani:

“Mine,” he growled again and kissed her. It wasn’t a kiss though. Not just a kiss. Instead, it was an angry declaration of ownership… an order for her surrender… and a demand for her submission all rolled into one.

“You ready to be rescued?” she asked, looking into Dani’s eyes. Not for blown pupils, but actually looked at her. No. She wasn’t. Even though Sardaan didn’t want her, being rescued meant leaving the ship. Meant leaving him. She nodded, blowing out a shaky breath. “Hell yes. Let’s get out of here.” “Good.” Shannon

Bridget:

“Live hard, die young…” she murmured, grinning as Kenna’s voice joined hers in the chorus. “Take as many of the bastards with you as you can.” “You’re both fucking crazy,” the big Latharian muttered, looking at them in something akin to horror. “Death or glory,” Dani winked as she walked past him.

I love the other books in the series and if I didn't know better, I would swear this was done by a ghost writer... the other option is Mina Carter was under deadline and just hacked out a book to meet her contract.

Where the characters in previous books were likeable, strong, and honorable... you suddenly have the male protagonist "taking" and almost raping the female.:

I read this book as part of the Volume 2 box set.

I totally love any of the books in Mina Carters Warriors of the Lathar and Lathar Mercenaries series. These books are automatic one-clicks for me. The women in these series are strong. If they don't start out that way they certainly become that way. The men are hot. They love their women and are totally dedicated to them. The stories are well written and flow nicely. There are few if any typos. Sometimes the British colloquialisms throw me for a loop. The characters are all very different and there's no mistaking one for the other. They don't merge into one in my mind. Locations and scenes are described so that you can easily picture them in your mind. Each book has it's own HEA for the main couple but there's always a little something that let's you know that there will be another book to follow. I just wish that the stories were a little longer.
